Troubleshooting & Security Regulations

Help you quickly identify reasons for card declines or payment failures. This guide lists common decline scenarios, such as insufficient balance, merchant restrictions, or incorrect PINs, and explains our risk control mechanisms and solutions.

To ensure the security of your funds and maintain the long-term stability of our payment card infrastructure, Wasabi Card has established rigorous compliance architectures and automated risk-control protocols. Please read and carefully observe the following regulations.

I. Troubleshooting Common Transaction Failures (Declines)

If a transaction is unsuccessful, the system will generate a specific error code. Please troubleshoot based on the following standard indicators:

  • Insufficient Funds: Check the individual card wallet balance (B2C) or verify that your business shared capital pool has sufficient liquidity and available credit (B2B).

  • Input Errors & Automated Freeze: Repeatedly entering incorrect CVV or expiration date credentials will trigger our safety systems to temporarily freeze the card for your account security. Please contact customer support for identity verification and manual unfreezing.

  • Network Risk Flag: Transactions may be rejected if your current network IP location significantly mismatches the merchant's location, or if anomalous cross-border activity is detected. We highly recommend maintaining a stable, localized network environment.

  • Merchant Category Code (MCC) Restrictions: To strictly adhere to international anti-money laundering and financial compliance boundaries, access is limited or restricted for certain merchant sectors, such as unregulated gaming/betting, unauthorized cryptocurrency exchanges, or high-risk high-chargeback categories.

II. Transaction Health Score & Risk Mitigation

We view the "Transaction Success Rate" as a core metric governing account credibility and routing priority. Maintaining healthy card spending habits protects your account status.

  • Fund Pre-loading for Binding & Subscriptions

Prior to linking your card to any recurring subscription models, mobile app storefronts, or global digital advertising platforms (e.g., Meta/Google Ads), always ensure your card has a sufficient buffer balance to comfortably cover authorization authorization checks, transaction amounts, and any network processing fees.

  • Prohibition of Automated Card Testing

Users must refrain from initiating rapid, intensive, or automated card authorizations over short durations (commonly referred to as "card testing" behavior). Accounts demonstrating abnormally high decline ratios or consecutive failures will face automated administrative restrictions to preserve channel integrity.

  • Cessation of Failed Attempts

If you receive critical decline errors such as Risk Rejection, Unauthorized MCC, or No Sufficient Funds, please cease all validation attempts immediately. Repeated retries on a blocked path severely degrade the card’s credit profile and may trigger irreversible automated blacklisting or card cancellation by the network.

  • Decline Fee Policy

Persistent, consecutive transaction rejections stemming from insufficient funds or user-end data discrepancies may incur a standard Decline Fee. This measure helps maintain optimal payment gateway stability and ensures premium performance for our broader card network.

III. Compliance Framework & Technical Assurances

Wasabi Card is dedicated to protecting your capital assets and corporate privacy through robust internal financial infrastructure:

  • Physical Isolation of Sensitive Data: Our proprietary data vaulting technology ensures that primary account numbers (PAN) and cryptographic keys are isolated from standard network layers, preventing external data leaks.

  • Real-time AML Risk Engine: Our automated, real-time AML monitoring system continuously evaluates transactions against regional and international compliance mandates, shielding your legitimate operations from disruption.

Technical Support: Should you encounter an unrecognized transaction decline, please save a clear screenshot of the error, including the timestamp. Reach out to your dedicated account manager or submit a ticket via our official website's chat widget for quick resolution.
